Big Background Image  Website Design

Analysis & Showcase:

Background patterns are usually unnoticeable in most of the websites. However, when a background image is utilized as the focal point on a web page, we are dealing with a specific web design called Large Background Image (or Big Photo Background) design style. As any other focal point on a page, a background image is the most important element on the page and has  a purpose: To accentuate the subject matter the site is addressing. In this web design style, a large image is used as an attention-grabbing point which leads eyes to the issue. Furthermore, it creates a very impressive visual impact on a website.

Background images, as far as our imagination can go, are very numerous and can be everything. I have treated nature-inspired backgrounds and water-themed elements as separate classes. Being very popular among site visitors, numerous websites are created within these two categories. As a result, we are dealing with a huge amount of amazing websites that utilize a variety of different images on these themes. Therefore, the latter groups are not included in this showcase and will be discussed individually later on.
